Personal and universal at the same time, Leifson ‘s new single "What to keep and what to throw" is about a relationship that did not work, and the feeling of having opened up to another human being for nothing. The song begins with a single voice and a piano and grows into a beautifully textured epic ballad of lost love. "What to keep and what to throw" is the second single from Leifson's upcoming album "Fountain of St. Katarina".

I traded my secrets in exchange for the lies that you maybe could love me, let me into your life. Said there will never be money only bills in a pile, and that the silence had voices. That the darkness had eyes.

I spell her name with a beating heart sprinkle it down with flowers (x3) I spell her name with a broken heart on a bed of her favorite flowers.

She wanted it too little, me I wanted it all. Put a ring on her finger and then never let go. Well outside it’s still winter and she stopped calling back and there’s this gusty wind blowing through the tiniest of cracks.
